Aviation Insurance is a comprehensive insurance policy covering aircrafts against the loss of or damage to the aircraft, and also the legal liability to third parties and to passengers arising out of the operation of the aircraft. Since Aviation Insurance underwriting is basically as per reinsurance terms, with minimum retention of risk and premium by BIL, the underwriting of Aviation is presently under Reinsurance. 

Coverage:

• All accidental physical loss or damage to the aircraft
• Damage or injury to the general third-party legal liability

Exclusion:

• Hijacking
• Confiscation
• Wear and tear
• Ionizing radiations
• Hostile detonation of an atomic weapon of war
• War, strike, riots & civil commotion, etc.
